PRESIDENT of the NORTH-RHINE
WESTFALIAN ACADEMY OF
SCIENCE, and SPECIALIST IN
ANCIENT GREEK
MUSIC THERAPY

in a letter to the composer:

Dear Mr. Huebner,

on a medical conference in Wiesbaden I learned about your research and development in the field of application of the natural harmony laws of the microcosm of music for medicine.
As a former director of the ‘Institute fuer Geschichte der Medizin der Universitaet (Institute of history in Medicine Duesseldorf) but also as president of the ‘Rheinisch-Westfaelische Akademie der Wissenschaften’ again and again I was concerned with the medical application of healing music – even my farewell lecture at the Academy of Sciences early this year I dedicated to the theme of the ancient Greek music-medicine which is also your theme concerning Pythagoras.

You can probably now imagine easily why I am extraordinarily delighted that a classical composer takes creative care of this legacy and puts highest attention to the fact that medical experts scientifically objectivate the effects of such music-scientific compositions on man’s organism.
The cooperation of a classical composer and medical experts seems to me very lucky alliance for health and also for music, and I am convinced that with the Medical Resonance Therapy Music® you found a new (and at the same time age old) promising path for the medical application of music.

In Wiesbaden I learned furthermore, that African members of government asked you to find ways and means to preserve the rich music tradition of that continent and that you now think about collecting those healing elements of the different music traditions of the world and make them accessible to scientific research.

This seems to me a very good idea because in this manner the best musical-medical ethnic traditions can approve their practical value and find their seat of origin in the objective medicine. I wish I had known about your works twenty years before.
Today I am pensioned off and my possibilities to take part in your activities are unfortunately very restricted. I am sure that there are enough practising colleagues who would like to associate with you and that there are enough supporters and foundations that would make the support of your activities for health to their own concern. Your publisher, Alfred Tils, was so kind to leave me several copies of some documentation on your work, which I sent to different colleagues.

Should you therefore get some interested requests that use my name as reference, this explains it. I wish you further good luck and much support in your activities and would be happy if you could keep me informed about the proceedings of your findings and developments. If I can assist you with my possibilities I will like to do it. With the best greetings.
